Volunteers Needed: Sullivan County Trails Spruce-Up

Please let Dawn know if you are interested in this opportunity or volunteering in general and we'll do our best to plug you in to projects that suite your skills and interests and make you smile.
Sprucing up the trail will involve hiking and restoring trails from the effects of winter. Tasks include clearing out leaf matter from drainages, cutting brush out of the trail and removal of blown down trees and branches in the trail corridor. There are 6 miles of trails on Sullivan County Lands. We plan to split into 2-3 groups (each with someone who knows how to safely use a chainsaw). One group will hike Glidden Ridge Trail and Unity Mountain Trail to 2nd NH Turnpike, one will hike Unity Mountain Trail from 2nd NH Turnpike until they reach the other group that will be hiking Barrette Trail and then Unity Mountain (including Sam's Overlook).
Please bring your daypack, hiking/work boots, water bottle, lunch or snacks, insect repellent, repellent and your favorite work tool. We do have some tools: pruners, rakes, hand saws, etc. We suggest you wear pants. Please let Dawn know if you are interested in helping out and if you have any tools.
