Butterflies, Dahlias, and Native Plants

Springfield, NH Conservation Commission presents a three-way event of loveliness!
- Sullivan County's Education and Outreach Specialist, Dawn Dextraze, presents a hands-on exploration of butterflies in the wild - see these winged works of art in their natural habitats, and learn how to attract monarchs and other butterflies to your own property.
- Springfield's Dahlia Lady, Emily Cleaveland, will be answering questions and giving tours of the dahlias in bloom.
- Sullivan County's Director of Natural Resources and Sullivan County Conservation District Manager, Lionel Chute, a trained forester and botanist, will guide a native plant walk by a small pond/meadow/swamp and wood's edge. Learn how to enrich the diversity of your landscaping with NH conservation natives.
Light refreshments will be provided. Bring friends, bring a picnic! But please leave Fido at home.
