Special Exhibit at Saint Gaudens

Saturday, July 23, 2022

The Saint-Gaudens Memorial presents the artwork of Nancy Diessner, Brenda Garand, and Janet Pritchard in a new exhibition titled One River, Many Views.

The Saint-Gaudens Memorial presents the artwork of Nancy Diessner, Brenda Garand, and Janet Pritchard in a new exhibition titled One River, Many Views.  This show is on view in the Picture Gallery at the Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park from July 23 to October 30, 2022.  The gallery is located on park grounds at 139 Saint-Gaudens Road in Cornish, NH.

This multi-perspective exhibition explores the Connecticut River and responds to its beauty, power, and history.  Artists Diessner, Garand, and Pritchard work in a variety of media, including photography, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and at times even river water, its soil and flora, to make unique and original artwork.

As the longest river in New England, the Connecticut River traverses through four U.S. states and flows past the Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park on its way to the Atlantic Ocean.  The river takes its name from the Mohegan language and it has remained a fertile resource since the first humans arrived in this area.
